About Joyce Sobotta, Creator of Healthy Girls Breast Oil

My Story

I love to create, whether it is in the kitchen, garden, or formulating a new blend. Even as a little girl I went to the hen house to get a few eggs to add to the mud pies and cakes I was creating in the sandbox. I think I was scolded since those were eggs to be sold to pay for school clothes.

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin -Stout.

I love to teach and share what I have learned. I was introduced to essential oils in 2002 and immediately was drawn to their healing potential. I presented their success as an enhanced therapy at the State Alzheimer’s Conference in 2003 and 2004. I completed a certification course from the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy, studied courses in herbalism, and completed a certification course in Reflexology.

My Purpose and Mission

My sister Theresa, who was ten years younger than me, at age 49 was diagnosed with breast cancer. The first three or four years she struggled with the routine of radiation and various Chemo. Then her doctor took her off Chemo because it was affecting her heart. She had a quality of live for 1 ½ years as she enjoyed riding her motorcycle and once again she had beautiful long hair. In Spring of 2006, while visiting family in TX the cancer returned with a vengeance. It had metastasized to her lungs and other places in her body. She started Chemo again, cut her long hair for Locks of Love the second time! She questioned what else could be done? She wore oxygen all the time. My sister and I stayed with her 24-7 to tend to her needs.

In September 2006, as we helped my sister from her hospital bed to the bathroom, she looked at me and asked “Joyce, can I come to your house?” I answered “Yes, you can come to my house.” It was her way of asking permission to leave. Instead of writing a book about her life, I realize I am to do exactly what I’m doing… educate women on self breast care.

The spring of 2007, a thermographer asked if I could create a breast oil. It was for women who wanted to take responsibility and do something to improve their breast health. Healthy Girls Breast Oil and Lady lymph were born. This system of applying therapeutic essential oils while giving a loving lymphatic self massage is very popular with women who care. My purpose is to educate women to become aware of their bodies, accept, appreciate, and love themselves. My goal is to reach out to health professionals to share Lady Lymph educational materials with their clients.
